New Comers Settlement Program
Relocating to a new country, city, or community can be overwhelming—especially when you’re starting with nothing. At Royal Chapel Worldwide Ministries, we recognize that shelter and food are the most urgent needs for individuals and families arriving in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). That’s why our New Comers Settlement Program exists: to stand in the gap, offer support, and build a foundation of hope for every new beginning.
Our Mission
We walk with new comers through the early days of transition, helping them find immediate support and sustainable solutions. Our goal is to provide both practical help and spiritual encouragement, ensuring that no one walks alone.
- Emergency Shelter Referrals
- Food Distribution & Grocery Support
- Connection to Affordable Housing Programs
- Referrals to Social and Immigration Services
- Community Integration & Language Support
- Spiritual Guidance and Pastoral Support
From Shelter to Stability
“We landed with two suitcases and no direction. Through the New Comers Program, we were connected to a housing agency, and now we are in our own apartment.”
— Grace & David, recent immigrants from Kenya
Whether they are refugees, asylum seekers, or immigrants seeking new opportunities, we’ve helped numerous families transition from temporary shelters to stable homes and from uncertainty to belonging.
Why This Matters in Toronto and the GTA
Toronto and the GTA are currently facing a housing crisis—skyrocketing rent, long waitlists, and a growing number of people experiencing homelessness. Our New Comers Settlement initiative seeks to be part of the solution, not just the conversation. We work with government and community agencies, advocate for newcomers, and offer faith-based support that brings dignity, care, and long-term impact.
“When I was a stranger, you welcomed me…” — Matthew 25:35
